Focus Features released the brand new trailer and poster for its project "Promised Land" on Friday afternoon (September 21).

In the Gus Van Sant directed flick, Matt Damon** plays a corporate salesman named Steve Butler who is sent to close a key rural town in his company's expansion plans with Frances McDormand's character Sue Thomason.

"Promised Land" also stars heavy hitters including John Krasinski**, Rosemarie DeWitt, Scoot McNairy, Titus Welliver, Hal Holbrook and is scheduled to hit theaters on December 28.
