He's been in the news as of late thanks to his unusual speech at the Republican National Convention, and Clint Eastwood** set the record straight on the " Ellen DeGeneres** Show."
The "Dirty Harry" hunk had a great sense of humor about his 'empty chair' speech, which received mixed reviews from both sides of the political aisle.
Eastwood shared, "The Democrats who were watching thought I was going senile -- and the Republicans knew I was... Just trying to enjoy myself."
Regarding his family's reality show, Clint noted, "My only request was to please leave me out of it as much as possible."
And Eastwood didn't seem thrilled about his daughter Francesca's artist boyfriend Tyler Shields. "Yeah... he's the kind of guy everybody wants to see their daughter bring home."
In another recent interview regarding politics, Clint explained, "If somebody's dumb enough to ask me to go to a political convention and say something, they're going to have to take what they get."
